Prediction for the Book
After reading the four letters in the book Frankenstein, I have developed a pretty confident theory for book’s plot. In my mind, the four letters are perfectly foreshadowing the story of Frankenstein, and are hinting in how the strange man’s story will soon tie into a new adventure with Walton. My prediction is that Victor Frankenstein is the man Walton rescued from the ice. I predict that as Frankenstein grows more comfortable around Walton, he will unravel his most mysterious story. As he narrates his story to Walton, he will reveal that the curious man of which Walton’s crew had spotted running across the ice is more than just his acquaintance. I believe that the amazingly tall man is actually Frankenstein’s son, or, how we may see it, his creation. If this were true it would be inevitable that Frankenstein was on the chase for his monstrous son who he had been a foolish father to. Frankenstein will bare his deep emotion of loss to Walton, and Walton will have befriended Frankenstein to the greatest extent that he will feel obligated to help Frankenstein with the search. So, as I see it, their real journey, the one of which both men have waited so long for, will begin with their search for Frankenstein’s monster.
